Keeper of the Winged Things
Keeper is a button-jointed cotton sculptural figure modified from a pattern by primitive artist Donna Veal. His arms, legs, body, and bell-topped hat are made of homespun cotton printed by the artist. His wings are custom-printed, too. A partially-sculpted face and floss hair complete his look. His market basket is lined with a serger-crocheted liner and in the basket is a real, all-natural cocoon of the polyphemus moth (don't worry, it was empty when harvested - no moths were injured in the making of this art!). He's mounted on a 7"x9" stained based coated with polyurethane.

Fairy Godmother of Good Fortune
I saved fortunes from cookies for years and wondered what I'd ever do with them. Then I found a piece of scrap wood in the garage. In a week or so, there she was!
Her body is wood; her head, arms, and legs are cloth; her hair is wool; her breasts and the embellishment on her wings is polyclay; and her wings are quilted batting. She stands approximately 9" tall on her crackle-finish base.
The fortune in the front and center is my favorite: "Any troubles you may have will pass very shortly." Oh, if only that were true!
PRICE: Fairy Godmother has found her forever home with Susan.
